Everyones favourite Aussie twins (and the writers of the unofficial Australian anthem, Untouched) have finally announced the release of their fourth studio album, Human.
The duo, comprised of twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, have been teasing a new album since the release of their 2x Platinum hit In My Blood all the way back in 2016. Since then, The Veronicas have dropped a bunch of tracks and fronted their own reality television show on MTV, The Veronicas: Blood is For Life. Now, the sisters have confirmed their new album will be released this year, with a new track, Biting My Tongue, our this Friday.
Biting My Tongue will mark The Veronicas first release of 2020, following last years singles Think of Me and Ugly, which doubled as the theme song for their reality show. While its unclear whether any previously released tracks will feature on Human, the twins shared a preview of their new single on their social media platforms. The track will be accompanied by an official video trailer for the album.
Whilst an official release date for the album has not been confirmed, The Veronicas have a busy year ahead of them. The sisters have been chosen by Boy George to take over mentoring his team on The Voice Australia due to the legendary British singer being unable to return to Australia for filming due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pop duo will headline their own drive-in show at Raging Waters Sydney on July 17th, marking the first live music concert in NSW since the country went into lockdown. Tickets are on sale now via Moshtix.
