Canada's The Dead South are set to kick off their debut Australian tour tonight! To celebrate, the band have shared with MILKY their top three Australian folk, blues and roots artists.
Kicking off at Melbourne's Northcote Theatre tonight, the run of shows will continue on to Hobart, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Melbourne, before heading to Auckland for two sold-out shows. "We've waited long enough – Australia, let's do this... Can't wait to say hello to all of our friends down under," the band share.
WILLIAM CRIGHTON
We got to do a 3-week run with William through the UK last year. He’s a great songwriter with an even better voice, and he’s just a wonderful dude to be around.
DELANEY DAVIDSON
We met Delaney in Kansas City years ago for a festival called Folk Alliance. His solo
performances with just a guitar, mic, harmonica and loop pedal were super captivating.
JOHN BUTLER TRIO
We haven’t met John or his band but they were one of my favorites growing up. There were a few months where the Sunrise Over Sea album lived in my CD player in my car.
