Emerging pop artist Tate McRae has shared the latest taste of her debut album, i used to think i could fly, with her new single what would you do?. The singer is set to tour Australia for the first time this July.
Co-written by McRae with Blake Slatkin (Lil Nas X, Kid Laroi), Alexander Glantz aka Alexander 23 (Olivia Rodrigo, Selena Gomez), Charlie Puth (The Kid Laroi, Ava Max), with Slatkin, Glantz and Puth taking on production duties, the track weaves in rock-based influences, with McRae's mesmerising vocals floating above grunge-infused guitar lines.
Kicking off in Perth on July 14, the tour will continue on to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, before heading to New Zealand for performances in Adelaide and Auckland. The run of shows will follow the release of the singers debut album, i used to think i could fly, this May.
Having released two EP's, ALL THE THINGS I NEVER SAID and TOO YOUNG TO BE SAD, the singers debut album features the anthemic single, She's All I Wanna Be, co-written with Grammy Award winning songwriter and producer Greg Kurstin. Next month, McRae is currently joining Shawn Mendes on his Wonder: The World Tour across the UK and Europe.
i used to think i could fly is out May 27.
