Melbourne duo Slum Sociable have joined forces with fellow Melbourne artist KYE on their new track You’re In My Head.
The vibrant track sees Ed Quinn’s smooth, trip-hop influenced production at its best, with Miller Upchurch’s mesmerising vocals floating above the tracks propulsive rhythms. With the addition of KYE’s soaring vocal performance, the track is infused with the duos creative identity and another testament to their musicianship.
Speaking of the collaboration, Slum Sociable’s Ed Quinn shares: “Working alongside KYE was a dream come true, and she took this track to another level. We’ve always wanted to make a stomper like this, so it feels good to finally release it”. KYE adds, “This is my favourite collaboration to date! It’s an honour to be Slum’s first feature, especially on such an infectious and energetic track.”
You’re In My Head follows up the duos previous single, Explain Myself, gaining airtime on BBC Radio 1. Slum Sociable are currently working on an EP, set to be released in 2021.
