Over the weekend, Red Bull hosted an intimate performance, bringing together Goodna rapper Lisi and Queensland Symphony Orchestra for Red Bull Symphonic, taking place at the Princess Theatre.
The performance recontextualised the rappers songs into orchestral-led arrangements, arranged by conductor Nicholas Buc. The 25-piece orchestra played through tracks including The Come Up, Say Less, Perspective and Fist Up, as well as Lisi's Red Bull 64 Bars track, Home.
Samoan-Australian artist Nokz joined the rapper on stage for a performance of Like This, before Lisi’s crew Th4 W3st made their way through the theatre and turned up the heat up on Earning. Lawd Lance made an appearance during Look At Me Now, and Faith Sosene took to the stage for Baby We On.
Lisi’s Samoan pride was front and centre throughout as performances by the SELAH Gospel Choir and drummers completed the celebration of family, community and culture, dancing in perfect harmony with the orchestra on stage.
