Malaysian-born, Chinese multi-disciplinary artist Dyan Tai is gearing up to release their new single, Do It 4U. If you can't wait to give the track a spin, you can watch the songs music video right here on MILKY.

Taken from the musicians forthcoming debut EP Empress 皇后, the lustful piano-house cut brings together modern influence, heralded by the addition of the gamelan, a Southeast Asian percussive instrument. Filmed at The Red Rattle Theatre, the songs visual brings together a diverse cast, serving as a tribute to the musicians appreciation for Asian pop music. We follow Tai as they take to the stage at the venue, before hitting the streets with a troupe of dancers to perform vibrant choreography.

"The music video for Do It 4U plays homage to Asian pop… but we made it queer and Asian! Featuring an all Queer Asian cast (most who identify as non-binary/genderqueer), the video captures the beginnings of fresh new love as we dance into the summer break and drive away in a Jeep!" the musician shares of the visual.

"It was filmed at the well-known, queer and artist run venue, Red Rattler Theatre where both myself (Dyan Tai) and AnSo have been selected to be part of their Artist in Residence program. The music video was directed by my mentor, award-winning director and choreographer, Shaun Parker with Chris Quyen as Director for Photography.

To celebrate the release of Empress 皇后, Tai will take to the stage at the Powerhouse Museum on November 24, coinciding with the first anniversary of the launch of the Worship Queer Collective ‘Queer Asian Excellence’ movement. Tickets are on sale now!
