Somethin Bout Dancing is out now!

Australian musician VLOSSOM has unveiled his new EP, Somethin Bout Dancing. To celebrate, he has curated an exclusive playlist for MILKY full of songs to dance to.
“Since the far-off days of ’96, a quiet yearning for dance has dwelt within me. That yearning led me along the winding paths of music, yet the dance itself remained just out of reach until recently. When last winter’s seas refused me their waves, I found solace within the confines of my own hall. There, beneath the familiar beams of my garage, I taught myself to shuffle, guided by the flickering light of YouTube’s sages. Some songs of this EP were forged in the early days of VLOSSOM, in fellowship with Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes. Others I crafted alone, each note a step towards reclaiming the mantle of front person I so dearly miss. It feels as though the time is ripe to bring these songs into the world, to stand upon the stage once more, and to share the ancient joy of dance with all who would join in this journey,” the musician shares.
TWO SHELL – MUM IS CALLING
Ok this one is a dance song. Probably the most useful song on this list. If you play it at a party, sometimes people think their Mum is calling. Everyone will think it’s funny and that’s a great energy to bring to the D floor.
CHANEL BEADS – POLICE SCANNER
This is my favourite album this year. I don’t know… check it out. It’s a short album.
FLORENCE SINCLAIR - SLOW
Sounds like a Brian Jonestown Massacre type beat… it sounds so emotionally intense, and complex, beautiful rich gravelly vocals, and loads of swagger. Sounds like worlds colliding.
MK.GEE - CANDY
I get this expensive 80s vibe washed through the bottom of a whiskey bottle or something. Can’t believe I just wrote that. I hate writing about music. It’s fancy music. But it just straight vibes. It’s got a guitar solo! If you’re dancing to this, you sorta have to just “vibe it” if you know what I mean.
ANTONIO WILLIAMS, KERRY MCCOY - CHANGES
Best chorus ever. A forgotten classic.
DOWNHILL2K01 – BLACK & DECKER
A song I found on the internet, reminds of IZ-US era Aphex Twin and has a playful aesthetic.
PALMISTY, BLADEE, ISABELLA LOVESTORY – BAD VIBES
No real kick comes in, so it has this insane bouncy energy. Also the lyrics are so good, about having bad vibes. But somehow it feels cute and nice.
MARYYX2 – RING!!!
Another one that’s great for dancing. Red hot drum loops and emotional guitar samples, plus the cover is written in the Virtua Fighter font so you know it’s gonna be good.
NOURISHED BY TIME – HELL OF A RIDE
I’ve been following this guy for a while,Lyrics go straight to my heart. And a voice to make angels cry. All self-produced. I don’t know I just love it.
