Sydney psych-trio Velvet Trip recently shared their new single, It's Only Human. To celebrate the release, frontman Zeppelin Hamilton has curated a playlist full of that make Velvet Trip feel only human.

It’s Only Human comes from a space ofcontemplation, introspection, and surrender; when ideologies that once felt safe now feel constrictiveand the idols once followed now feel flawed. It is a comment on the human condition and the placeswe turn to put ourselves back together when all feels lost.” frontman Zeppelin Hamilton shares.

To celebrate the release, the trio are hitting the road on an east coast tour. Kicking off in Melbourne/Naarm on December 3, the run of shows will continue on to Byron Bay/Bundjalung, Brisbane/Meanjin and Sydney/Gadigal, before wrapping up in Wollongong/Dharawal on December 17.

HARUMI - FIRE BY THE RIVER

This is a beautiful piece of Japanese psychedelic pop from the late 60’s, produced by Tom Wilson (The Velvet Underground, Frank Zappa, Simon And Garfunkel).

TEMPLES - MOVE WITH THE SEASON

A very inspiring song/album produced in a bedroom studio with a controversial snare tone.

MARK RONSON/KEVIN PARKER - DAFFODILS

It’s just a banger and you can't deny it.

SHUGGIE OTIS - SWEET THANG

Smooth and thoughtful slide playing paired with some funky arse jangly keys - few words, but enough is said.

MDOU MOCTAR - CHISMITEN

High energy Tuareg. This track is dripping in amazing guitar playing that could easily fit in any psychedelic groups shred bank.

THE BEATLES - SOMETHING

George Harrison is the one.

STEVE LACEY - N SIDE

Slow, sexy and filled with attitude. Love the production on this track and album.. Psychedelic RnB is the vibe.

PARCELS - LORDHENRY

Amazing songwriting/arranging. I love how the vocal harmonies dance around the lead vocal flawlessly.

FLEETWOOD MAC - OH WELL PT.1

Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac will always be my favourite. So much attitude, style and fierce guitar playing.

BRUNO PERNADAS - ANYWHERE IN SPACETIME

This song and album has been a huge inspiration. I love its melodic complexity and diverse world influence. A very sentimental track.
