Australian DIY punk acts Peace Ritual have shared their debut single, Tears Of Joy. The musical project of Joel Martorana (Endless Heights) and Thomas Elliott (Harbours), the duo have teamed up with Sam Bassal (Ocean Grove) on co-writing and production.

Built upon a driving alt-rock soundscape, Martorana's captivating vocals capture your attention, drawing you in with soft tones throughout the songs verses that build to soaring heights in the chorus. Layered guitar melodies are woven together whilst propulsive percussion brings the track home. Conceptually, Tears Of Joy is a navigation of life with all its twist and turns, brought to life by the duos storytelling lyricism.

"Tears of Joy is a celebration of the highs and lows of life. Even through challenging moments of grief or heartbreak, it's all evidence that you have been bold or open enough to needing something or someone," Martorana shares.

Originally forming as a hardcore band, Peace Ritual soon organically evolved into the genre-fusing act we hear today. Leaning towards rock and pop-based sensibilities, Tears Of Joy is just the start of what is sure to be a spellbinding string of releases from Peace Ritual.
