Our November book club pick is Thieves’ Gambit.
Thieves’ Gambit by Kayvion Lewis is the first book in a long time where I’ve been tempted to skip to the end to see if I was right. Only because I couldn’t read fast enough. It was that good. With a plethora of twists and turns, it was intricately set up to have you feeling like you could also compete in the challenge.
The novel brought out so many emotions, thanks to the vivid descriptions of both the setting and the situations our characters found themselves in. Making it even more exquisite in its delivery. I loved the energy between all of the characters and how descriptive it was. I was able to cast the characters and picture every scene and situation, which elevated and added so much more to the story.
It was an intricate mystery that I feel speaks to a wider range of an audience, especially with how it was delivered. The ending quite literally, had me on the edge of my seat. This is one of the best Young Adult reads I’ve encountered in years.
Thieves’ Gambit is available through Simon & Schuster Australia.
