Anangu/Torres Strait Islander singer-songwriter Miiesha has offered up another taste of her forthcoming EP, Mirrors, with the release of Everything.

“Everything was written at a point in my life when I wanted to give up on music; when singing felt hurtful because it was the only way I expressed myself. I was in a dark headspace, and I felt like everything was out of reach and the pain was endless. So the song is me, reminding myself, that we could have everything. I know it’s hard right now but keep going.”

Due out this June, Mirrors serves as a companion piece to the singers 2021 EP, Smoke. Across the companion releases, Miiesha is set to offer up two perspectives of "broken family dynamics, searching for love and healing." Following the release, the singer will embark on an east coast tour.

Kicking off in Sydney with a performance at the Sydney Opera House as part of VIVID's 2022 program, the tour will continue on to Brisbane and Melbourne, with the singer also set to appear at Splendour in the Grass and Listen Out over the coming months.

Last year, Miiesha took home Song of the Year at the National Indigenous Music Awards, following five ARIA nominations in 2020, where she won Best Soul/RnB Release for her debut record, Nyaaringu. The singer has just been nominated for two Queensland Music Awards, Regional/Remote Award for Damaged, and Soul/Funk/RNB for Made for Silence, which also placed her as a Top 40 finalist in the 2021 Vanda & Young songwriting competition.
