KYE RETURNS WITH 'GOSPEL'

Australian artist KYE is ushering in a new era with the release of her new single, Gospel. The track serves as the first taste of new music from the singer for 2025.

Co-written with G Flip and Aidan Hogg, KYE enters new sonic territory with the songs atmospheric soundscape. Initially driven by a subdued organ chords, Gospel builds in anticipation towards a euphoric finale build atop electronic beats. Her signature compelling vocals float above, bringing the songs intimate and hopeful lyricism to life. Laced with truths and rumination on the world around us, the track explores the influence of powerful figures and forging your own path.

“The idea of gospel truths has been a constant in my upbringing. A set of rules and ideals carved out a way of life for me that never quite fit. Growing up this way has shown me firsthand how the truth can be gnarled and twisted into a weapon." KYE shares,

“The world is a scary place fraught with a spectrum of opposing ideas. We are living in unprecedented times fuelled by fear of our differences. Our world is plagued by the ideas of a few men who hold fast to their own inflexible truth. Gospel is a call to look inward for what is true, to honour your roots and the sacrifice of others and to forge ahead with love and gratitude. It is okay not to know all the answers, the very nature of being human is to live in the unknown. That, to me, is Gospel.”
