Sydney-based trio jnr. recently made their debut with their single, remember. To celebrate the release, the band have shared with MILKY their top five live music memories!
“remember deals with grief, nostalgia, and the moment you are forced to put yourself in your parent’s shoes. I think anyone can relate to wanting to remember someone or something from their childhood, but the song has a deeper meaning for me. I’m always drawn to darker lyrical themes and uplifting instrumentals - that push and pull always attracted me to some of my favourite artists.” shares band member Ben Siva.
“The feeling of knowing oneself is essential to being human. So the writing process was really me thinking about who I would be without my memories.”
SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS @ QUDOS BANK ARENA
This one has to be on here because all of us were at this show before we knew each other. Yes, we were big into 80’s glam metal at the time but didn’t we all go through that phase?
KAMASI WASHINGTON @ THE OPERA HOUSE
We turned up late with a pretty large group in the middle of a slower section. It was an amazing set but I think we can all still feel the eyes on us as we interrupted everyone’s vibe.
THE 1975 @ LANEWAY
And Charli XCX played before. This was also the last big gig we saw before the pandemic. Iconic.
ROGER WATERS @ SYDNEY ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE
Pink Floyd are one of our biggest childhood influences and seeing this show live was a big bucket list moment. He even brought out the flying pigs.
MATT CORBY @ THE ENMORE THEATRE
This one was so special. Matt hardly moved in his set but you could feel his energy wherever you were in the room. You could feel every word he sang.
