Iraqi born New Zealand-based artist, WHO SHOT SCOTT recently delivered the third part of his MERCY EP trilogy. We caught up with the musician in Sydney to chat about the trilogy, his artistry, performing live and so much more.

The trilogy finds the musician cultivating his inward expression, building his artistry with each release and delving deeper into his own vulnerability Across his latest offering, MERCY III, WHO SHOT SCOTT continues to craft his avant-garde leaning fusion of hip-hop and punk, creating textural and dynamic soundscapes that oozes with precise production and booming beats.

The collection of songs reflects on themes of self-doubt, trauma, mental health and relationships in their many facets, as well as an idea of a re-birth. Reflective lyricism unfurls throughout, documenting life in your twenties, as the musician strives towards self-acceptance and laying to rest any thoughts of doubt and fear.

WHO SHOT SCOTT has just wrapped up his debut Australian headline tour, performing to crowds in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as hosting performances across New Zealand.
