INTRODUCING TAI VERDES

Watch our interview with Tai Verdes below!

American singer-songwriter Tai Verdes has delivered his sophomore album, HDTV. We caught up with the musician to chat about the release, the evolution of his artistry, finding success through TikTok and so much more!

Across the body of work, the musician effortlessly weaves together threads of funk, soul and hip-hop, creating dynamic groove-laden soundscapes that unfurl beneath Verdes' charming and soulful vocals. Whilst his debut album, TV, served as a documentation of his life over a four year period, HDTV is about the many facets of love and lust, explored across 2o tracks that have been curated into a narrative form. Relatable and introspective lyricism flows throughout, whilst also retaining the playful and carefree side that caught the attention of audiences worldwide. Verdes has been slowly unveiling tracks from the album, having already shared Let’s go to Hell, LAst dAy oN EaRTh, 3 outfits, 100sadsongs, sheluvme and how deep?, with the latters music video featuring footage of his recent trip to Australia.

The Californian born artist earned a legion of fans following a number of TikTok videos that led to viral success. His breakout hit, A-O-K placed the musician at #1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart, has hit Platinum in Australia and the US and Gold in New Zealand. Verdes released his debut album in May of 2021, which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Album Chart and #5 on the Spotify Debut Album Chart

In July this year, Verdes made his first trip to Australia, performing at Splendour In The Grass and hosted two headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. The musician is currently in the midst of the North American leg of his HDTV tour, which will include performances at Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Wonderfront Festival (Waterfront Park) and more.
