Sydney-based pop act Salty has dropped her new single, Why Don't We. We caught up with the singer to chat about the release, blurring the lines of genre, what the future holds and so much more!
Written alongside Charley and Cyrus, the track finds the singer leaning into dark-pop influences and expanding her sonic palette with a bolder sound fuelled by magnetic production. Salty's engaging vocals simmer above, showcasing the light and shade of her tone as she sings of living in the moment and breaking out of your comfort zone to truly experience life. The release arrives alongside an official visual, directed by Ben Montague.
The musical project of Kirsten Salty, the singer has shared a string of singles in the lead up to Why Don't We, including measured in heartbeats which launched her re-brand as Salty. To celebrate the release, the singer hosted the first iteration of Salty Sweet, a curated evening of local music - an initiative she hopes to continue later this year.
