Watch our interview with Royston Noell!
Reigning Australian Idol winner, Royston Noell has dropped his new single Dreaming. We caught up with the musician to chat about the release, crafting his artistry, his post-Idol journey and so much more.
Entering the competition as a Queensland-based youth worker, Noell wowed the Australian Idol judges, and the country, with his rendition of Sam Smith’s You Know I’m Not The Only One. As the competition progressed, the singer continued to deliver goosebump-inducing performances as he took to the stage to sing classic songs including Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey's When You Believe, Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors, The Climb by Miley Cyrus, James Morrison's I Won’t Let You Go and more. Upon being crowned this years winner, Noell shared his first single under his new label home, Sony Music Australia, Dreaming.
Now, the singer has followed up the track with his inspiring cut, Dreaming. Co-written with Chris Chidiac, personal and moving lyricism take centre stage as Noell finds himself at a crossroads; should he move to the city and chase his dream, or stay to provide support for his family. Upbeat and energetic sonics unfurl beneath, inciting a hopeful tone throughout the track, whilst Noell's booming vocals bounce above.
Dreaming is out now!
