Sydney-based duo, Porcelain Boy have unveiled their double single art of sabrage. We caught up with the duo to chat about the release, feverish Uber rides, crafting their artistry and more!

The musical project of Jordyn Mamora and Jordan Olyslagers, Porcelain Boy is the result of years of collaboration between the duo. Having played together in a number of bands and acts, Porcelain Boy made their debut in 2020 with dull girl before returning earlier this year with Club Punk. The track introduced the world to their multi-sensory output that pushes the boundaries of contemporary music into an ultramodern sphere.

On their latest offering, we're treated to a dose of surreal reality with UBER X FACTOR PRELUDE. Swelling synths unfurl beneath a voice recording from an Uber ride Mamora embarked on earlier this year, where his driver offered his thoughts on pop-culture that serves as a thought-provoking prologue to art of sabrage. The song delves deeper into Porcelain Boy's luring sound as they weave in threads of industrial-rock-meets-trot-punk to create a stimulating and engaging sonic realm that exudes a masterful understanding of their craft. Above, Olyslagers hypnotic vocals will leave you mesmerised as he documents themes of self-sabotage underscored by the grasp and coaxing nature of a night out. The release is accompanied by an official visual, shot and directed by Billy Zammit.

Porcelain Boy will make their live show debut at BIGSOUND 2023, from September 3-5 in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
