Breakout Australian pop star Oliver Cronin has unveiled his debut EP, Beautiful Nightmare. We caught up with the musician to chat about the release, his creative output, what he has planned for 2023 and so much more!

Across the seven track release, the musician chronicles the ebbs and flows of life as a young adult with a particular focus on his own journey and facing the harder moments of life. Introspective and personal lyricism flows throughout, brought to life by Cronin's engaging and captivating vocal performance. Beautiful Nightmare continues to prove the musicians penchant for producing ear-worm melodies and memorable hooks, placing him as one of Australia's most exciting emerging artists. The EP's brooding and magnetic soundscapes capture the themes explored across the tracks, weaving together threads of dark-pop and R&B that offers tonal shades of light and dark.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Post Malone, Chase Atlantic and Justin Bieber, Cronin began producing tracks from his bedroom and sharing his compositions with his vast following on TikTok. The musician found a new legion of fans with his breakout hit earlier this year, Boys Don’t Cry, which was written during a TikTok live with fans. Now, with his debut EP out in the world, Cronin has just returned home from a writing trip to Los Angeles, with the promise of more new music and live shows throughout 2023.
