INTRODUCING MAC THE KNIFE

Watch our interview with Mac The Knife below!

Eora/Sydney-based post-punk quintet, Mac the Knife have returned with their new single, Labour In Vain. We caught up with the band to chat about the release, their artistry, taking to the stage in Sydney and so much more!

Produced by Michael Kuhle and engineered and mixed by Nick Hatzakos at A Sharp Recording Studios, Eora/Sydney, the track delves deeper into the bands post-punk sonic realm, delivering a more refined palette that introduces darker tones and captures the energy of their live show. Frontman Bryn Chapman Parish's impassioned vocals stomp above a riotous soundscape, driven by thunderous percussion and blistering guitar melodies, woven together to create an angsty punk-rock anthem.

Serving as the first taste of their sophomore EP, In The Shadow Of It All, the track explores the effects that the opinions of others can have on your mental health, and the importance of removing fear from judgement in order to be a better you. Introspective and biting lyricism run rampant throughout, with Chapman Parish's dynamic performance capturing the urgent nature of the songs conceptual exploration.

To celebrate the release, Mac The Knife will return to the stage in Sydney tonight, taking over The House of Music & Booze in St Peters. Supported by Marilyn Maria and Organs, final tickets are on sale now!
