INTRODUCING COTERIE

Watch our interview with COTERIE below!

Perth-based quartet COTERIE have us longing for summer with their new single, West Coast Drive. We caught up with the four-piece to chat about the track, their collaborative process, performing live and so much more!

On their latest offering, the band channel the likes of indie-pop luminaries Ocean Alley, Lime Cordiale and Dope Lemon, bringing their own reggae influences to the track. Frontman Tyler Fisher's captivating vocal tones lure you into the songs oozing soundscape, driven by propulsive percussion and steady, up-stroke rhythm guitar melodies. The track brings the nostalgia of home and summer nights, exploring the feelings and experiences that arise during the warmer months of the year.

The release arrives alongside an official visual, directed by Maverick Lam. We follow the four-piece as they cruise down the north-south route along the Indian Ocean with their friends, capturing shared experiences that those chilled out summer nights can bring.

Having formed in 2016, COTERIE is the musical project of Māori brothers Tyler Fisher, Joshua Fisher, Brandford Fisher and Conrad Fisher. Since their 2019 debut, Where We Began, the four-piece have released a string of singles, including their RMNZ Gold Certified track, Cool It Down. Last month, the four-piece wrapped up their debut headline Australian tour, which included sold-out performances in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, following their run supporting New Zealand rock and soul five-piece SIX60 on their national tour in April.
