Sydney born, Melbourne-based artist Ayesha Madon has dropped her new single, Goldfish. We caught up with the singer to chat about the release, her artistry, starring in Netflix's Heartbreak High reboot and so much more!
Leaning into the bedroom-pop meets RnB sonics of her debut single Outside Of The Party, glistening guitar chords ring beneath Madon's mesmerising vocals, building to a pulsating chorus that will have you grooving all day long. Introspective and thoughtful lyricism lead the track, as the singer explores living a hyper-simple life that consists of routine and leaves behind the fears and anxieties that relate to finding your path in life and what is considered successful.
With only two singles under her belt, Madon is placing herself as one of Australia's most exciting artists. Her knack for relatable songwriting provides moments we can all relate to, brought to life by her vast vocal range that flows between smooth and warm mid tones, before reaching new heights with atmospheric high notes.
Set to make her live debut at BIGSOUND in Brisbane next month, the multi-hyphenate artist is no stranger to the stage, with a background in musical theatre and dance. Madon will take on the role of Amerie in the hotly-anticipated Netflix reboot of Heartbreak High, which marks the juggurnaut streaming services first original series produced by Netflix AU/NZ. The program will be available to stream from September 14.
