American singer, songwriter and rapper Aries has made his way down under for his first ever Australian tour. We caught up with the musician to chat about the run of shows, his sophomore album BELIEVE IN ME, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU, having creative control of his output and so much more!
Having already taken to the stage in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, Aries will wrap up his Australian tour with a sold-out in Brisbane tonight, before jetting to New Zealand for performances in Auckland and Wellington over the weekend. Along for the ride has been experimental artist tsubi club.
Across BELIEVE IN ME, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU, Aries effortlessly weaves together sonic notes of hip-hop and alternative, creating genre-bending soundscapes that brings a nostalgic flavour into a contemporary setting. The body of work documents the musicians own life over a two year period, exploring different situations and life lessons through relatable and introspective lyricism, brought to life by Aries dynamic performance and mesmerising production.
To celebrate the release, Aries hosted his first ever annual WUNDERWORLD FEST, taking over The Observatory in SantaAna. Joined by tobi lou, brakence, Deb Never, SSGKobe, Tom The Mail Man and Ramzoid, the event prefaced the musicians world tour. When sitting down with MILKY, Aries confirmed the festival will return this year for round two.
Having earned a legion of fans through sharing his skills as a producer and songwriting prowess on YouTube, the musician would recreate the beats behind popular songs in 2 minutes which helped him build a fanbase on the platform of over 455,000 subscriber. Following the release of his 2019 independent debut album WELCOME HOME, Aries had reached a whole new audience that continues to grow with each compelling release.
