Emerging artist Andrew Lambrou has just dropped his bid to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest with his new single Electrify. We caught up with the musician ahead of his performance at Eurovision Australia Decides to chat about the track, the Eurovision Song Contest, his artistry and more!


The Greek-Cypriot singer has delivered the ultimate summer banger, just aching to be played at beach-front clubs across Europe. Bringing his signature flawless vocals to the release, his powerful and mesmerising performance builds to an entrancing chorus, as the musician sings of a thrilling romance. Lambrou switches things up on Electrify, with the songs second verse written and performed in Spanish.



Lambrou will go head to head with Sheldon Riley, Charley, Jaguar Jonze, G-Nat!on, PAULINI, Erica Padilla, G-Nation, Isaiah Firebrace and Evie Irie, Jude York, Seann Miley Moore and Voyager at Eurovision – Australia Decides later this month. Each artist will perform original songs for their chance to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. After winning his first singing conception at the age of five, Lambrou launched his YouTube channel in his teens, uploading covers and original tracks whilst building up his ever-growing fan base. With 1.5 million followers across Tik Tok, Instagram and Youtube, Lambrou soon caught the attention of SONY ATV at the age of seventeen. Since then, he's been working away on crafting his own unique sound, having signed to Michael Chugg and Andrew Stone's new label City Pop Records last year. Since then, Lambrou shared his debut single Throne, followed up by Lemonade and Confidence.
