IDKHOW'S FAVORITE AUSTRALIAN MEMORIES

GLOOM DIVISION is out now!

I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW), the musical project of Salt Lake City-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dallon Weekes has unveiled their sophomore album GLOOM DIVISION. To celebrate the release, the musician has shared with MILKY their favourite Australian memories.

I've always loved visiting Australia whenever I've had the opportunity.

The fans there are incredible. It's a beautiful country that produces incredible artists, musicians and comedians. That said, the first thing I always think about when Australia comes to mind is a smug seagull who stuck his stupid foot in a pizza I was about to eat. But that was years ago, and that bird is surely dead by now. So, take that, Polly!

Bondi Beach is beautiful! I’ve only been once, but I remember it being quiet, despite the many people. The way Australians seem to mind their own at the beach is something I admire. Afterward I remember buying a really nice wallet. Mine was on its last legs and I was being pressured to buy some canvass/velcro monstrosity to replace it. But as it turns out, I was not preparing for my first day of the seventh grade, so I, a grown man, opted not to give into that peer pressure.

It's leather wallets for me, mate. I'm an adult.

Thank you, Australia.
