Platinum selling hitmaker Halsey is back with new music, sharing her hotly-anticipated single, So Good. The release arrives after the singer took to TikTok to vent her frustration at emerging industry standards surrounding social media engagement becoming a primary promotional tool.
Serving as an ode to her partner, screenwriter Alev Aydin, the track explores longing for the one who got away, hoping to be reunited even though they're no longer single. So Good returns to Halsey's pop-based sonics, with production from Tobias Karlsson and Max Martin, creating an engaging soundscape that swells beneath the singers vulnerable vocal performance.
Last year, the singer released their GRAMMY Award nominated third album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power. Superb production from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails allowed the singers evocative and captivating lyricism to run wild in a new sonic playground. The record serves as a comprehensive anatomy of the dichotomy of impending motherhood, sprinkled with Halsey's masterful lyricism that creates a sense of folklore across the thirteen tracks. Offering moments of strength, juxtaposed with moments of intimacy, the ambitious record is a powerful, career-defining moment from one of the 21st centuries most innovative artists.
