Australian artist Dawson has unveiled his new single, Will You See Me Now?. To celebrate the release, the musician has shared with MILKY his top five podcast recommendations.

"Will you see me now? is a song about giving someone a second chance when you probably shouldn't have. The entire song was written and recorded in a day where everything just seemed to work. For me, this song is a continuation of my attempt at being as unwaveringly honest in my writing as I can possibly be."

FIVE. AUNTY DONNA PODCAST

Absolutely bananas podcast usually about something entirely random. You either love it or you hate it but I have been caught at the lights losing it in fits of laughter too many times to not recommend it. Episode recommendation: 30 Minutes of Straight Fire

FOUR. BROKEN RECORD WITH RICK RUBIN

This is a pretty straight up and down Q+A podcast but Rick Rubin has such a beautiful outlook on music and life and he’s so adept at squeezing really insightful answers out of amazing guests. Episode recommendation: John Frusciante

THREE. HAMISH AND ANDY

Had a big day? This podcast is pure, light-hearted serotonin. No big hitting subjects, just easy smiles. Episode recommendation: Doesn’t matter, any will do.

TWO. THE IMPERFECTS

3 blokes with an interesting guest or expert talking about real and challenging subject matter. This podcast has a significant effect on my mental health and I believe it is single handedly making Australian’s better at talking about these things. Episode recommendation: Johann Hari - How Can We Change?

ONE. TAPE NOTES

In each episode, an artist or producer break down, stem by stem, a handful of songs. It’s so satisfying to hear the individual building blocks that go into some of my favourite music. I’ve been so inspired so many times and I would thoroughly recommend you find an artist you like and do the same. Episode recommendation: Fred again..
