American singer-songwriter Caroline Polachek has unveiled her beguiling new single, Billions.
With choral work from London’s renowned Trinity Choir, the transcendent track finds its place within spatial and atmospheric production, whilst Polachek's mesmerising and enchanting vocals float above. The release arrives alongside a mystical directed visual Matt Copson. which follows the singer as she picks grapes from vines, soon transforming them to wine.
“The overabundance of this world overwhelms me. Sometimes it seems like ultimate tragedy, the earth being pillaged and destroyed for it. Sometimes it seems pre-human, beyond morality, sublime. I don’t pick sides, I just live here, with you. How does it feel, being so rich?” the singer shares of the track.
Last night, Polachek kicked off her run supporting global hitmaker Dua Lipa on her Future Nostalgia tour alongside Megan Thee Stallion and Lolo Zouaï. The 28-date run across North America will culminate in the singers set at Coachella festival in April. Polachek is also set to appear on acclaimed Australian producer Flume's forthcoming album, Palaces, due out on May 20
