Having emerged in 2021 with his overnight viral hit Never Comin' Home, Zimmerman quickly built a legion of fans worldwide with his captivating storytelling and powerful vocals. His 2022 debut EP, Leave The Light On, made history upon release as not only the most-streamed all-genre debut of the year, but also the biggest streaming country debut of all time. The chart success doesn't stop there, with his recent single, Rock And A Hard Place, currently holding the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart for the sixth consecutive week.
Across the body of work, Zimmerman offers rumination of love and heartbreak, eloquently captures with relatable and thought provoking lyricism. Each song contributes to the the albums overarching theme, and showcases an intimate and emotional side to his artistry. Having co-written eleven out of the albums sixteen tracks, Zimmerman presents an open and honest psyche, offering up his deepest thoughts within an introspective viewfinder. He unpacks the idea of lingering love and the long-term effects of heartbreak, fuelled by an unbridled passion.
Refusing to be boxed in, the record pushes up against his established country sound and introduces threads of rock and pop in an effort to create a body of work that is accessible to fans of all genres. Emotion stirring soundscapes lure you in, unfurling beneath Zimmerman's distinctive and mesmerising vocals. There's a fresh quality to the musicians tone, whilst also drawing influence from Country musics greatest artists. There's genuine warmth and sentiment in each word he sings, it's hard not to feel moved from the opening track right until the albums closer.
