ASHWARYA UNVEILS NEW SINGLE 'FLARE'

Melbourne-based pop singer ASHWARYA has delivered yet again on her new single, FLARE. Further cementing her status as one of Australia's most exciting emerging artists, the track serves as the first taste of new music since her superb debut EP, Nocturnal Hours.

Bringing Billie Eilish vibes to the track, ASHWARYA's mesmerising vocals swell above dark and atmospheric sonics, built upon sparse beats and simmering production. Conceptually, the singer navigates the emotions and uncertainty in the early stages of a relationship and the control falling in love can have on you.

Speaking of the track, the singer shares: “FLARE is about the tension that plays out between not knowing if someone likes you back and searching for their signal. It traverses between holding back your emotions or fully letting go of them to show them how much they mean to you. It's tricky because it can become a fickle game, and eventually, you're longing to feel loved regardless, but 'I'm in too deep' to realise.”

Produced by Jarrad Rogers (Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, Icona Pop) and mixed by Jamie Snell (Mura Masa, Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa), Nocturnal Hours featured the singles PSYCHO HOLE, BIRIYANI, LOVE AGAIN, TO THE NIGHT and COMIN@ME, introducing us to ASHWARYA as a formidable force in pop music.

FLARE is out now! Listen to the track below.
