Watch our interview with Andy Golledge below!
Sydney alt-country rocker Andy Golledge has blessed us all with his debut album, Strength Of A Queen. We caught up with the musician to chat about the release, his musical evolution over the past 15 years, the importance of local venues and so much more.
Produced by Ryan Miller and John Vella (Angus & Julia Stone, The Delta Riggs, The Jezabels), Strength Of A Queen is the culmination of fifteen years of hard work and dedication to his craft. Laced with rambunctious moments juxtaposed by vulnerable shades, Golledge brings vivid storytelling lyricism to the collection of songs built upon twangy guitar melodies and hypnotic percussion. The record captures the feel-good energy Golledge has been bringing to the stage throughout his career, creating a warm and nostalgia fuelled listening experience as he documents the twists and turns of life and love.
Golledge and his band are currently on the road for the musicians Strength Of A Queen tour which visited Brisbane, Eltham, Hobart, Melbourne, Euroa, Bambra, Newcastle, Wollongong and Sydney's The Lansdowne. The run of shows will continue on to Tamworth on April 21, before performances at Winter Bites 2022 in Adelaide in June, and Splendour in the Grass in July.
To celebrate the release, the musician has teamed up with Young Henrys to produce a limited edition Young Henrys ‘AG Draught’. The limited edition beer is a blend of old school Aussie malt and hops, guaranteeing a clean and crisp taste without the hassle, and will only be available at all tour dates, excluding festival performances.
