Adelaide singer-songwriter, aleksiah has shared her new single, Clothes Off. To celebrate the release, the singer has shared with MILKY her top five strawberry milk picks!

“I wrote Clothes Off after a period of self-reflection as to why I wasn’t able to have sex. It’s really a diary entry of me scrambling to find some reason as to why I hate myself so much that I wouldn’t allow myself to be intimate and to try and pin the blame on some divine reason. Really, it’s just a learned human feeling to not like yourself very much sometimes," aleksiah shares.

"I hope people listen to this track and feel a sense of relatability and that this song can also be an easy way to explain to your partner why you can’t take your clothes off because I know so many people feel the same. It’s my way of expressing, "It’s not you, it’s me”.”

Hi, I’m aleksiah and I’m known to have had a strawberry milk or two before I play a show, so I thought I would share with you guys my top 5 picks for strawberry milk!

FIVE. OAK STRAWBERRY MILK

Points for accessibility, you can find them at pretty much any servo in the country but thats where the positivity stops. This milk is way too sweet, and I know that all flavoured milks are too sweet, but this one is too much, even for me.

FOUR. BINGGRAE STRAWBERRY MILK

This is a Korean brand of strawberry milk, and while I do like the actual strawberry flavour - it’s a bit more tart and life like than the rest. It’s still entirely too sweet for me, bonus points for cute packaging though!

THREE. AUSTRALIA’S OWN STRAWBERRY MILK

The best long-life tetra-pack milk you can get in my opinion. Doesn’t taste heaps strongly of that long-life milk flavour, subtle strawberry taste and not too sweet! A good staple that I always have in my pantry.

TWO. NIPPY’S STRAWBERRY MILK

This is the milk I grab when I want to treat myself. As a South Aussie kid I grew up drinking this, begging my parents to get me one when they had to go fill up with petrol. It’s extra creamy, with a very strong strawberry flavour, a little over-sweet but thats what you want when it’s a special treat! Highly recommend, a very close second place.

ONE. PAUL'S BLUEY BRANDED STRAWBERRY MILK

This is the best, the cream of the crop (quite literally). It’s not too sweet so it doesn’t clog up your throat, and it’s not overly creamy, the perfect amount to coat your throat when you sing. It also comes in an absolutely adorable bottle. It’s pretty tasty, and it does the job the best. I always have a good show night when I have this bottle by my side, she’s my ride or die.
