It's You is out now!

Australian dream-pop duo, Have A Good Day have delivered their new single, It's You. To celebrate the release, the Perth-based musicians have shared with MILKY five ways they love to have a good time.
ORGANISE A SHORT FRIENDSHIP HANG
We are both pretty spontaneous and impulsive so we love a last minute text to get a coffee or a beer with a friend. Long days in the dark room of a studio can be exhausting if it’s not punctuated by something new. We both spent a bit of time in New York and found the culture of a brief catchup was easily accessible with their subway system. When we returned to Perth we kept the habit!
WRITE SOMETHING NO MATTER WHAT
We were very inspired by the “pages” idea in the “The Artists Way” where you write down three pages without any judgement/editing at the start of each day. It helps to break down any idea of needing the writing to be at a certain standard and often leads to new insights. It can also be helpful to do think about what you want to do for the day in the morning and then attempt to execute it. Even if only a couple of your ambitions actually happen, it’s satisfying to open your mind to the possibilities the day brings.
COOK YOUR OWN FOOD
Cost of living is expensive at the moment as we all know. As working musicians, sometimes you have to get creative with how to save money. There are so many quick, cheap recipes on Tik Tok and we save quite a bit of money by purchasing fresh produce from the Farmers Markets. If you find the right market it can work out much cheaper than traditional grocery stores and is much better for your health!
MORNING WALK
We both find a lot of clarity by going for a long walk first thing in the morning. It’s a great way to enjoy nature and try and be present without any technology. It’s so important to romanticise your own life and can often lead to unexpected encounters and opportunities!
TRY SOMETHING NEW
There are some solid studies on the ways that changing up our routines help us to have new experiences! The brain's ability to change, reorganize, or grow neural networks show us that we have a choice in our life and we get to dream up what our life might look like.
