As he gears up for the release of his seventh studio album New Love, singer-songwriter Ziggy Alberts has announced he's hitting the road on a regional tour of Australia. The news arrives following the release of his recent single, Where Does The Love Go?.

“It's a song I wrote about wondering where does the love go, when it's not us? It's a question I was asking myself when I was feeling a lack of self-love. Now that I've thought about it more, I think love disappears unless we embody it. And it is the responsibility of humanity, wherever possible, to keep it alive.” Alberts shares.

Kicking off in Margaret River on March 1, the run of shows will continue on to Cairns, Toowoomba, Kingscliff, Bellingen, Newcastle, Thirroul, Canberra, Wodonga, Ballarat and Port Fairy.

ONE

Firstly, that you can work with your family - it's passionate and some days are firey, but there are no better people to surround yourself with who genuinely care about you more as a human being than you as an artist, and what you're trying to achieve together.

TWO

Listen to your intuition. Over the years, I’ve heard so many things being deemed ‘impossible’ or " not the way it's done" in the music industry. If you’re willing to take on the responsibility and the risk, I prefer to take the path less travelled. Stay true to who you are as an artist, and what you want to put out into the world - if you are clear on that, your decisions in business (and artistry) are all the better for it.

THREE

You don't have to know it all, but you do have to embrace continuous learning. I don’t necessarily think the wealth of knowledge in a particular lane or industry is as important as the ability to adapt, learn and grow.

FOUR

Delegate and let go. Realise you are not the best person to be in marketing or managing because otherwise, you'd be in marketing or management. Don't be the dam in the river. Most of the time, the team does a way better job than I can.

FIVE

Remain directive. Although, at times, I am crippled by decision overload, I am happy to keep steering the ship of my career. It's not because I am always right - but there is some reason you've broken through in unique way. Trust that.

New Love is out February 21, 2025.
